If I run 2024.10 on an underpowered machine without enough video RAM, I get the 'Legacy' titler, Fair enough. But if I open an existing (earlier than 2024.10) title on my iMac (which has enough VRAM), it shows up as 'Legacy titler'. Can these older titles be promoted to the new version (which is definitely an improvement!)? The right

I think your analysis is mistaken. Bins should be saved to the Attic whenever a bin is saved in the project. And bins are flagged for saving whenever anything in the bin is changed (clip name, markers ...). I just tested your scenario having set the Bin/Attic setting to one minute. No sequence loaded. I added markers to a master clip in a bin and waited

Yes, up to a point ... but the OP wishes to change levels before editing. Otherwise he he/she has to edit with low levels and fix it later. Not entirely satisfactory. I think the question might become a feature request!

Looks like an issue I see with old Quicktimes - Media Composer assigns the wrong plugin when linking (a bug that has never been addressed, I believe). Have you checked Source Settings to see what plugin is being used?
