seond vote for media mover - great tool also second the vote for a seperate render partition. if you can set your drives up like that then file management becomes easier. dakes

second on the OLED - have seen them in action and they are stunning!!

normally means that you have wrong sample rate on import. if you check the file you will rpobably find it is 44.1k not 48k dakes

ahhh...i miss the god 'ol days of tape!! if the tapes are as old as you say then they will be literally falling apart. for me - i would start each tape and watch as it you digitise it. when you see a drop out stop / rewind / and start digistisign again. once all in go back and edit the tape back into a new digital master. oh - and buy a few extra

hi - a couple things. 1- where did the file orinate from? 2- can you trim/save/trancode part of the file and open that? sometimes you can get a bad tailout of the file and that corrupts the whole thing. 1 thing that i have seen work is to AMA the file into avid then transcode / mixdown part of it. hope this helps dakes
