  • MC window will stick to primary laptop screen. MC2020.10

I have a dual monitor plus laptopscreen set up. When I startup, the timeline and rec/sourece are on the external monitor 1. Externa monitor 2 is unused, but the bins are on my laptop screen. I can easily move this arrangement over to an external monitior. But then the TL jumps to the laptop and I cant move that one arround. Am I just too stupid to is

  • license not syncing on Avid Link

I just installed Avid Link and MC 2020.10 on my new machiene. Link shows that it's "syncing" all the time but will not let me activate the license for MC 2020.10. I have to confess that I forgot to deactivate the license on my old PC before I wiped it clean. What would be a solution for that?

  • MC 2019.6 dual monitor issue

I'm having a wired issue with MC 2019.6 working on Win 10 and dual monitors. No matter what I use monitor No. 2 for, bins and the menu bar or the composer window and the timeline, my second monitor only gets "active" when I click somewhere on monitor No 1 first Otherwise, I won's see a moving image or can't click on any item in

  • Copy & Paste of Markers in Scrpt

I am working on 2018.8.0 using scripts without the ScriptSync option. Since our script is changing a lot, it happens that, for example, lines that were in scene 14 are now in 16, and so on. I'd like to avoid doing what I did for sc 14 for sc 16 again. Is there an option to copy and paste marked lines from one script into another?

  • Comparing video tracks on different

I just stumbled over this idea/question: I am comparing versions of my cut on two different Video Tracks. Is there a feature that allows you to see [eg.] V1 in the source window while watching the other track in the recorder? If this feature does not exist, I'd love to see it in a future version of Avid MC. If it would play in real time even better

  • Quicktime error code -108

Anytime I try to export a sequence into 1920x1080 H.264, error code -108 pops up. Followed by the actual message that the momory is full (100%). 720 in H.264 or any othe codec works fine. I was looking here in the forum but couldn't find any help. How do I get rid of that issue? I'm thankful for any hint.

  • edit ambiguous due to clock constraints

I am working on a 720/50P project (Panasonic P2). The audio comes from a separate source and is recorded at 25P. When I try to sync Sound and Vision I get an Error Message. It seams obvious that 50/25 will not work together in the first place. Is there any solution for this issue?

  • Bonsai Drive

Hello, I am using a Rosendahl Bonsai Drive Hard Disk Recorder. It is quite a nice little thing, as long as you do not have to do insert edits. Most of the time I try to do an insert the first Frame is black. Actually it is frae No. 0.(!) because after that the sequence starts with its first frame. (This makes no difference if I do Insert or Assemble
