I remember him well too. What a great guy, always willing to help and really cared about people and the Avids they used. It's actually nice to see names on this thread. Brings back a lot of good memories the wonderful help I got from some really special people!

I would try opening the files in Resolve and see if there is any discernable difference in how Resolve sees them vs MC. Also you could try the program GSpot to investigate the files. Good luck!

If only the C200 could record sync'd timecode, it would be pretty much perfect.

Are you using Media Composer or Symphony? And are you seeing only instances of that clip being color corrected or are you seeing the entire timeline being color corrected?

Older design with two more but slower cores vs newer design with two less but faster cores. There are good arguments to go either way. From the tests I've seen, unless the program is very well optimized to take advantage of multiple cores, the 8700 will be faster.

I can say that the argument for the Quadro card largely has to do with the program using it. FWIU, Maya does take advantage of the advantages that a Quadro card has. Clearly Mysika does too, after reading the OP. But I've never heard of any advantage of using a Quadro in Resolve, Premiere or After Effects. And I've never heard of any image degredation
