I´m still on version 3 Steve , just used it for a shortfilm that´s going to be played on one of those festivals and it was accepted . So, not looking at 4 yet .

Ok, Vobs are just mpeg files and direct import is better than capture in most cases, if it is a ripper app or not isn´t that important , FYI Squeeze has had an import disc function for rather many years and there are lots of apps that can do this and transcode to an Avid codec for fast import. from tom to tom

This is from my 2015 build , still rather valid results , no OC , it´s factory settings for the 4960x so above 4 ghz ( it switches to 4,12 sometimes ) and 12 times that , also notice the GPU usage

It´s a bug since 8.70 and FFW . Switch off GPU render and rerender. Although this is the Mac side of the house I suppose you are on PC as this is PC only

Ok, I´m on Baselight 4.4.1 myself but I don´t think that matters, I´m also on Matrox 8.0.0.15342 that´s the very latest driver from Matrox ( and last as it isn´t updated any longer ) but that might not matter either . Eucon driver is 3.5.0 and the driver needs to be installed from what I´m aware of to have the Artist
