For me last usable version is 2018.7.1 with old AJA drivers 12.5.1. Don't use 14.2.1. With them even 2018.5 stopped at playback. But AJA support advised me go back to 2018.4. And Avid support claimed it's Avid problem but Avid support claimed it's AJA failure. But what can we do?!!!

Install AJA drivers version 13.0. Forget v.14. It's a garbage.

I think Avid programmers has added some sort of hardware filter from 2018.3 version. From 2018.3 MC filter out on start non sertificate processors. I have Hackintosh with 6 cores Xeon X5690 and Avid can't start with it with the same mistake. But if I change processor to more old and more weak i7-920 than Avid strt without mistake. Very strange.

Try 2018.2 version.

Try to rename *.mov to *.m4v.

I had the same bug but I resolved it by switching off Show effects contents in Timeline setting. And my Dupe detection setting is always On. But now I can't see effects contents in clips. It's bad.

Can't work with that version. When zooming timeline, it's dissapearing and appears a message. Exception: CORE_SEGMENT_NOT_FOUND, classname:TLtrack, methodName:DrawSegDupZones And it's depends from the height of video track. With narrow tracks everything is fine but with thick ones appears that bug.

So, as I understand if i will buy $199 subscription I will lose Media Composer Perpetual and can not use it forever. But can I add to subscription my three already buyed perpetual options, i.e. Symphony, Phrasefind and Scriptsync?
