I don't know about Windows but I had the same problem with non-English Mac OS. After switching to English OS all problems are gone. Blackmagic devices like english interface.

I am still sitting on MC 5.5.3 because of that glitchy playback engine. My 6.5.dongle still useless. If Avid will not change behaviour with Matrox, Blackmagic and so on devices, I don't see reason for upgrade. Because the main thing is quick work.

If you want use dongle in Avid 5.5 than restart Mac OS in 32 bit mode.

Of course, latest drivers. But stuttering playback in the source monitor is unbearable. And strange it appears only in PAL DNxHD projects. None in PAL HDV and none in all NTSC projects.

I did not tell that it is Apple bug. It is Matrox bug, because without Matrox everything it's alright. And in MC 5.5 with Matrox everything it's alright.

Sorry, what incompatibility? If do you mean "25fps - 60Hz", Blackmagic Intesity Pro, for example, is free of that bug.
