Dear colleagues at Avid: I am desperate for Mac OS Sequoia 15.5 to be qualified for Media Composer. I recently bought a beautiful new Studio Mac, which of course comes with the latest OS, not thinking that Media Composer could not yet be used. I am currently in the middle of two important projects and cannot proceed until this happens. Don't make

Crashed again. I guess the issue really is that I have to wait for my OS to be qualified. Please, please ....... marluc

Thanks as usual, Marianna. I know that my new Mac OS 15.5 is not yet qualified with Media Composer 24.12.1, but I thought I'd give it a shot, and the above is the message I got when it crashed. I will try your suggestions anyway to see if perhas it will work. Fingers crossed!!! marluc

Oddly, I was able to get MC up and running on my new Mac 3 with the latest Sequoia, but it is erratic. Sometimes it opens, sometimes not. Other strange things happen too. PLEASE PLEASE let us know when this version will be qualified or how to work around it. Thx, marluc

When can we expect Sequoia 15.5 to be qualified? marluc

I still need to use Catalina on my iMac, so I can't upgrade to newest version of MC Ultimate. Subscription lapsed due to new credit card, but I managed to purchase and download a new v.2023.12. It seemed to install, but I can't open it. I keep getting the message "subscription renewal Error." I need this version until I get new equipment

Bruno, that makes perfect sense and is what I thought. Unfortunately my very trusty 28" iMac is pretty old (late 2013) and the OS cannot be upgraded beyond what I have. I have done a lot of good editing on it in the past few years. It''s a nasty situation but such is life. Can I still download 2023.12.3, and where? Many thanks for anwering
