What makes me scratch my head is that I can use my BM box to output when I use Resolve but not with Avid. Obviously BM knows how to make the hardware work in the Mac OS...

I'm with you, Kevin. I have the same setup. I tried the new 2023.8 version, but the crashiing problem has returned. Again, if I deselect the BM card for output, I am running like a champ. As soon as I turn it back on it's crash city. Rolling back to 21.12.9 for now.

I agree with you, Kevin. In fact, I thought things were going much better and then it went downhill quick. I was happily editing with no crashes for about an hour and then I hit the wall. Not the fix we were all hoping for...

I was hopeful about this fix, but it hasn't changed anything on my system... I was able to edit for a few minutes and then beachball city again.

IMO the Blackmagic card and Avid and iOs aren't working as they should. This has been an ongoing problem with my system. I'm in good shape if I turn off the Blackmagic box. VERY frustrating.

I've been workiing pretty well on my Mac Studio running Ventura 13.1 and MC 2022.12.2 with my BM card turned off. It is very sketchy once I turn it on. I'm just waiting on updates and BM doesn't seem to be in a hurry to fix it. Maybe at NAB in April?

I don't think Ventura 13.2.1 is supported. I know my IT guy installed that by accident and I had to roll it back to 13.1. I also then did the terminal kext trick. I have my BMD enabled again and it works OK. I still get crashes but not every other keystroke. But, no other news that I could find.
