I'm not an expert and finishing, but I'm a bit confused by this. Usually the finisher can relink to the original media, regardless of whether it's mxf-transcode in your system. What NLE are you finishing on? Have you tried new settings and a new project, just to see if that gets rid of the issue?

Interesting. I agree with other commenter, there's not a great reason to leave this AMA linked. Why not just transcode them to solve the issue? However, I agree it shouldn't be happening. Is it possible it's some sort of permissions issue with MacOS? Just a wild guess. Have you tried deleting everything in your AMA Management folder (in

As far as I know, no. I too would love to be able to turn this feature off.

Running Avid version 2023.12.0.58093.0 MacOS Sonoma 14.0 (23A344) MacStudio Apple M2 Max 64GB Getting 1-3 hard crashes each day where Avid just disappears – no crash dialog, nothing, just vanishes. A few seconds later a MacOS crash report comes up that refers to " PC register does not match crashing frame (0x0 vs 0x7FF892CD6A78)". Any

I too am very curious to understand what has been lost with the absence of Nexidia tech. What is the outlook for sycing to exisitng transcripts?

This is such a bummer to hear. I worry that it may be that generating the text with a full run of "AI" first is the only way to do this without Nexidia. I'm no expert, just guessing – because it seems like the way most "AI" works is in a sequential fashion. Nexidia may have had a techinque where it divided and conquered

Michael, I'm still a bit confused, are you saying selecting all and "render" doesn't render these effects? Or are these iZotope or other 3rd party plugins? I have had similar issues with iZotope. Since I've not had issues with other plugins, I've assumed iZotope is the culprit when it is involved. I have no problems with iZotope

One more idea, probably won't work. Try exporting as MXF OP1a. On 2023.3 I've had an instance where I couldn't export a sequence as h264, but when I switched to the MXF OP1a the export it worked fine – and then I compressed it afterward with a separate app (shuttencoder, adobe media encoder, compressor, ffmpeg, etc). I'm not in

You won't lose the renders. Duplicate the sequence and try it out. Yes, you will get a warning from Avid "unrecognized plugins" –– but if you have the renders (the effect is rendered in your timeline) Avid won't re-render it. It will just render everything that is unrendered. I've been in this exact situation and rendering

Have you rendered the entire sequence?
