Marianna, Are there any updates for people who are STILL having this issue? Seems to have gone quiet, perhaps I am the only one still having a problem.....

I am still getting the same issues with the new Blackmagic Desktop and the latest Avid 2024.2. Is anyone getting this to work solidly? When I can get it not to crash, performance is slow, 'sticky' each click has a few second delay till it finally crashes. please if anyone is making this work I'd love to know what you did. Avid has no solution

So I have now tried 2024.2, with the same beach-balling. I have been told by Avid, they know the Blackmagic release and this new Avid release DOES NOT FIX THIS ISSUE!! Is anyone out there getting this to work? Avid's solution to me is is plug a monitor into the Mac Studio and use full screen mode. That's their solution. It works, but is not

I just tried this new driver. Fixes nothing for me. Trimming was clunky till it crashed. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.... Beachballed in five minutes. Tested it with Avid DNX ID and Ultrastudio 3G. Back to working in full screen mode. If anyone gets this working please let us know......

Not great news for me I'm afraid.... MC 2023.12 Ventura 12.6.3 Mac Studio M1, no dice. DNX ID beachballed in five minutes, tried mulltiple times, hang. Because of this on going issue I happened to have an Ultrastudio 3G available too, this worked slightly longer, maybe twenty minutes, then beachball. I have been working this past week in fullframe

Rob, your post sums up my feelings most perfectly. I have been dealing with this issue for at least two years. Yes, Avid have been trying to help. Today, I installed 2023.8 Desktop Video 12.7 on a Mac studio running Monterey 12.6.3 with DNX ID. No good. I had this issue on an Imac so its NOT just the M1. 2022.7 seems to run with desktop video 12.4 MOSTLY
