Turns out you can't use Qnap's "Ubuntu Station" for this, you need to install a clean Ubuntu VM from scratch in order to be able to tweak the NIC settings to work with Nexis Client. And then when you have it up'n'running, you discover that the Windows client has way better perfomance on the same hardware :-D

It works with a Win10 VM on the same setup...

After a long day of trb.shooting/trial&error I finally got an Ubuntu VM running on Qnap to talk to the Nexis server. I can mount workspaces and browse them, but I can't read from or write to them. Any ideas on what to look for?

Finder has never really worked for deleting more than a few to a few hundred files on Nexis. I learned to use the Terminal to do it on Mac way back in the ISIS age :)
-
We still have exactly ZERO Apple Sillycone Mac's connected to our Nexis's - We simply can't find a stable combo of OS, Nexis and Pro Tools or Media Composer

Yes, that's what I just wrote, but why isn't it called 2023.1? So f'ing stupid having me waste time on stuff like this :-/
-
The image shows that my support expired 2022-12-31, but that I only get 2022.9 software - not the newer version advertised as 2022.12 [:'(]
-
Turns out 2022.12 is actually 2023.1 - Guess it was to much work to rename it when the release date slipped?!?
-
You are doing it wrong: The Titler+ plug-in doesn't work, so don't try and use it - there are plenty of alternatives...
