  • Re: Any possible way to retroactively change project settings?

[quote user="Job ter Burg"] Again, this to me strongly points in the direction that for instance your camera was _running_ at 24.000fps, but was flagging its clips for 23.976fps playback (which means you are doing a 0.1% slowdown of your picture). If so, you would need to slowdown your sound to match that slowdown. That can either be done

  • Any possible way to retroactively change project settings?

I listened to bad advice and was told to check the Film box and choose 4 perf "since it will help make for better swiping through the timeline sequences so that you won't miss frames" Well... I shot Red dragon footage at 23.98 (which is also what my project is set to, what my MXF files were created as, and what audio was recorded at) My

Yes that is what I fear. However, what is strange is that IF that is the case, then why were the bins properly saved and they have do have the correct date modification time stamps which reflect that the project was successfully saving up till when I closed out of the project.... they were also sucessfully retreived and imported back into my project

I just used attic for all my bins with save dates on Dec 5th and searched through every bin version on that date... NOTHING. it is seemingly gone. I'm really surprised. There were no error messages at all when saving the progress of work on that day, and the timestamps of my bins in the attic are correct, and yet ONLY this sequence/timeline file

VERY BAD NEWS: I've been editing the last couple days. I had a timeline sequence, which I duplicated on December 5th and continued editing from as a sort of pass 2 of the cut. I did plenty of Save All's and Save all bins during the editing session with no problem. Today (the first follow up edit session) I open the project and it boots up on

Okay I have got everything working now. Link does work -- audio carries over and color is unalterned. For import to also match I have to choose these settings from going to 1080p prores4444 quicktimes to DNxHD 175x for there to be no shift in color. So good to go. I can now start editing Thanks for the support!

I exported a new batch of MXFs from the Avid template to start over I chose: MXF OP-Atom: DNxHD 175 10bit For audio I chose: Same as Source and Linear PCM (the only option. I dragged the MXFs and the AAF from the export into the Avid MediaFiles:1 folder of a new external drive. I opened a new project created on the root of that external drive. From

it appears that creating that new project starting fresh from a newly created folder 1 with the MXF files dropped into it only generated a msmFMID.pmr I am using Davinci Resolve 14.1.1 Both quicktimes and the MXFs are from my initial Resolve deliver (two seperate renders). I did not use the Avid AAF template. I created my quicktimes (HD prores4444)

Yeah it's no good. I renamed folder 1 to folder 10 created a new folder 1 and then moved those MXF files into the new folder 1. Created a new project on the root of the external drive and immediately got this error from the source media folder Then when I kept hitting ignore all it kept popping back up until this error message.... So I clicked ignore

Great I'm going to try this test. Though for clarification beforehand: So because I just decided to choose OP1A MXF's as the output as well as not selecting the file destination to folder 1 (or creating say a folder 2 directly from Resolve) it invalidated my MXFs from being able to be imported into a MC project? If so, I have no other choice
