Here with an update to this situation. Seems like the source monitor goes black when I use the segment arrow to move clips in my timeline. That is definitely what sets the problem off for me. The interim fix I have been using: When the monitor goes black, I go to Windows > Workspaces and select the workspace I'm already in. This kind of "refreshes"

Hi all, running into this issue as well. 2015 Mac with 32GB ram. Laptop + 1 Samsung monitor. 2019 Avid on Mojave. I've noticed the source monitor goes black if I use the segment tool to move clips in the timeline. Only fix I worked out was restarting the application but I will try the docking. Need a better fix.

I'm on 10.14.6 and geting the same probelm. If I work in the record window for too long, the clips in the source window stop displaying. I can hear the audio when playing, but can't see video. Fixed by restarting, but annoying to restart 10+ times a day.

I also posted this on Creative Cow. We are on Avid 2018.12 on shared storage and the search function is not longer working. The issue started with the Search Error: SQL could not be executed... very long error message. I attempted a few fixes, created a new user, deleted the MCState, and deleted the Search_DB for the system that was having issues. I

Working off graids, doing a lot of multicam and ediitng groups. Multiple video tracks. His sequence has been duplicating his V2 track so he has two V2 tracks. Avid is duplicating

I find decomposing to be more reliable when it comes to prepping for online. If you don't go through the decompose steps, Avid will be a little fickle with relinking. Sometimes it won't relink to high resolution clips when you are already linked to low resolution, unless you unmount the offline drives. You spend a long time relinking to online

Having a very strange issue that has been causing me grief during our uprez. I take my editor's offline finished sequence, mix it down for a reference layer. Decompose all clips and overcut the video reference on the top layer. Then I relink to the online drive, which already has some high resolution media. Many different frame rates on this show

No, same frame rates here. Same format, unique tape names... I'm even grouping by source timecode, so there's no chance for aux TC weirdness. More
