Sorry - I had pasted a screen shot from "What's new in Avid Version 7" as a quote from Avid and it is not showing up. This document is in the Avid document folder along with the user manual that is available from the HELP menu when Avid is running. Might be good taking a look at it.

AMA management is new in Version 7. Here is what Avid says about it: So unless you are using Interplay or want to see the AMA files in the Media Tool there is not a huge reason to use the AMA management process as it exists in v7.0.3. We are in a mutl-user environment where I work so we needed a fix for this problem. The original user of Avid will the the only one with write permissions to the Ama database folder and XML file. The work around is to disable AMA databse management by typing into the Console: < manageama off > then hit enter. this will allow any user to AMA link

You might try opening the Console and typing "ALLDRIVES 1" then hit enter. This should allow Avid to see any mounted drives if is not seeing now. Check and select the drive you want to write to in the "Media Creation" settings. Hope this helps.

Wim - I have that boxed checked and can see the effects in the Ausdio Mixer -no problem However, I am refering to the dialogue box with the audio plug-in interface dissapearing once I select a plugin then either click on the dialogue box again or click on the composer window to play the effect prior to closing the dialogue box. I am actually losing

MC 7.0.2 On another note, I noticed that when applying a RTAS audio effect in the Master Fader or the Timeline, once I select the effect and click back to the Composer window to play it, the plug-in interface in the RTAS dialogue box dissapears and there seems to be no way to bring it back other than re-selecting the filter again. Good evening, I haver recently been exploring MC7.0.2 and found that if I hold down the Shift key and press the Z key the keyframe toogles on and off in the tool palate on the left side of the Timeline. I would like to change that so I can map another Avid function to the Z key but cannot find any text in any of the Avid manuals or online info about

MC 7.0.2: The difference now betwen Lassoing and Mark IN and OUt selection of Audio Keyframes is that no Audio Tracks have to be enabled when one is Lassoing Audio Keyframes. When Mark In and Out - only the enabled Audio Tracks are affected when manipulating the selected Keyframes.

Have you selected the Blackmagic card in your System Preferences /Sound Settings/ Output ?
