Just upgraded to Media Composer 8.5. Now when I export a timeline it automatically creates another timeline, calling it (Name) exported. This surprises me because before I got 8.5 the same show I edited exported in QT Reference just fine. Why would an upgraded version force me to use an extra step making it more complicated and time consuming?

Should I install Windows 10 on my PC? Will AVID run with it or should I wait?

It's actually in the Effects Palette under Generator.

I had the same thing happen to me today. Here was my solution. I downloaded Handbrake, a great little piece of software that also digitizes DVDs. I imported the long clip and converted it into an MP4. It loaded in nice and clean. A bit of a pain but at least you don't lose any information. Otherwise the rest of my clips came in clean and locked

I have been trying to create a DVD menu using buttons and a jpg image I created. The JPG image ends up being blurry on the menu. The buttons look great. But the words on my jpg image and the logo all come out blurry. What am I doing wrong? Eric Futterman Media Composer 6 [email protected]

Larry, You have made my day my friend. I had this exact issue, was worried that I had lost my entire 2 day edit. Couldn't sleep at all last night. And then MPEG 4 which is a similar file at h.264. Try that. It all worked. Not sure what the heck is the matter with h.264,

Don't know if this will help you but when I exported in QT Animation is worked.

I'm having the same problem. My error code is -108. Worked fine a few hours ago!
