Have you gone to the AVX_Plug-Ins folder and set the permissions to "read/write" for everyone? And are you at the Administrator level as a user?

Also, what version of Quicktime do you have installed? What version of XPRO? Do you have AMA and transcode functionality with the version you have? If so, have you downloaded the appropriate AMA plugins for P2 from here and attempted to AMA link/transcode?

Paul: Based on this from that link: "Versions older than 5.5/2.5 require the original install disc in order to remove application files from the Mac system." it appears to me the procedure is still valid for 5.5.3 without the need to have the original install disc. I will consult with Marianna to see if there's any update, but as of yet

The latest patch for that version is 6.0.3.4 with many, many fixes so you should get that under the "Avid Editor Patches" link at the download center . Remember that on Mac, every version, whether a full new version, update or patch is treated as a full version install, requiring the complete removal of, in your case, 6.0.0, using the uninstaller

Gareth: Recommend you duplicate your sequence and do a video mixdown of the duplicate, then replace all the dup's video layers with the single video mixdown clip and try exporting that.
