We use a lot of op atom .mxf dnxhd files from SKY TV and until the latest version of Media Composer could always link via the Source Browser directly. Since I have installed 8.8.5 on multiple pc's we now get 'Media not supported' error message when we try to link via the browser. It's the video track that appears to be not linking and

We have found an issue where when trying to log in to the application manager after installing Media Composer first, you get a message saying the avid servers are busy, try later.....but this keeps happening. Yet I can log in to app manager on the pc with media composer full version installed.

Apparently you set the format when you first drag your clip on to the timeline, a dialogue box appears. The format tab doesn't appear to allow you to change the format from what you already have set.

Where do you change the timeline project settings, eg 1920x1080 or 720x576 etc ?

I think it was all the dll's....but I have now managed to install the software correctly.

Will this not install on Windows 10 HOME version maybe ?

Have downloaded Media Composer First for windows but no matter how I try to install it tells me there are files missing and doesnt complete the install process. I have tried on another machine with the same issue, all Windows 10. Any help appreciated.

I too have the same issue on our systems with MX02, it crashes the avid exit until you force quit. This in itself isnt a massive issue, only annoying, however what has also been affected is audio punch in via the MXO2, the result being digital dropouts on recorded audio which is not good. Again I assume its the lack of updated driver support for this

Is anyone using AJA Kona i/o boards such as LHe Plus or LHi with Media composer 8 and Windows 10 ? Do they still support media composer Audio Punch In correctly as I'm looking at getting one of these since the matrox boxes no longer work correctly with this feature. Thanks

Florian Thanks for the response. I am actually feeding the matrox LE with analogue audio via a mixing desk which then I assume is converted to digital within the matrox and passed to media composer. That then is where the issue occurs. Digitising footage is fine just using punch in produces strange pops etc in places on the recorded punch in audio.
