Thanks for the comments. I am not against change and do like many of the features of the new Interface including docking which is well overdue. Colour and contrast etc etc are very important when you spend hours and hours in front of a monitor so more flexibility not less is required to custom set what you are comfortable with and have a more productive

Installed the new Media Composer 2019.6 today and so far not a great fan of the new interface. Lack of skin colours (shades of grey) and softer looking icons dont help. Also looks a litle less professional for some reason. And only grey or purple for fx icons now. I'm sure once more variation of colour is added back I will give it another go. Otherwise

Told relink to link to different target and use file name and ignore extension etc but still not able to link at all. I did put the new file in a new bin as

Hi I have edited some sequences with a .mov file with 2 audio tracks. Now I have been sent the same files in a different format (.mxf) with extra audio tracks (all in a single file with the video) which contain sound I will need. The first 2 audio tracks match the original file as does the timecode and durations. I can't find a way to let the sequences

Hi Thanks for that help. I think I have found the issue as it's now working. I had uninstalled the old Sony Plug in as per Nablet/avid insturctions but there was a zip file left behind that I then removed and all now seems ok. Could be coincidence but time will tell. It is now linking as I would expect. Interestingly I can now link to mxf op atom

Using 2018.12.1 I have found that using source browser to link to xdcam dose not work as it should. I have installed the new nablet AMA plugin but it won't link only prompts to transcode in. My other sytem running 2018.12 also with the new nablet pugin and is fine, it will link as always. Any thoughts ?

When I switched over to media composer 2018.12 I found imported PNG with alpha are now soft compared to both the same PNG without alpha and also how they use to be in previous versions. Wondered if anyone else had experienced anything similar ?

Thanks for that and I can now activate the Title tool within the sequence. I agree that not creating media for every variant of title will be of great use going forward. Regards Kevin

Just installed the 2018.12 release but can't yet see how to activate the new avid titler. The T button appears in the timeline but selecting a clip and then clicking it does nothing so far ?
