Check your import settings to see if "Do Not resize" is checked. You have Premiere and Vegas on the same computer with Avid? No problems? I thought it wouldn't work?

In the IMPORT settings, click on image; usually it's for importing stills, but if you are importing video files (and not capturing them), I believe it applies to that too. You see settings for "Fields (no fields in your case)"...wait, you have a 23.98 project, so fields wont come up. The only thing I can think of is to play with the motion

What's your IMPORT setting under image? Did you isntall the AVID codec pack? Anyone want to jump in? I'm the least qualified out of the host of experts on this forum, but I'm tryin'...

I'm a panny man, so I hope some Canon peeps can shed some light on this, because

Have you tried output to AVID Quicktime via TMPGENC, instead of an MT2? TMPGENC should load the AVID codecs that were installed during MEDIA COMPOSER installation. Salud!
-
Have you tried the Motion effect in Avid? and Promote it to see if you can remove pulldown that way?
-
Hmmmmm, go to your format tab and choose 720p/23.97 and see if the Film and 24 setting come up.
-
Do you see this when you pull up your settings? Also, it doesn't matter if you aere on 3.5 or 4.04. Did you choose 23.98 also?

Hey, after you've made a 24p project, have you gone to the "Film and 24p" settings under the settings tab in the lower left corner of Avid (where the bin selection and effects tab are)? There, you can set pulldown and cadence. If you have footage that's already been captured, then promote a motion effect and select source with 2:3
