Does anyone know of a website for the history of Avids similar to everymac.com's history of Macs? There must be someone out spending their free time collating such important trivia. I mean, Avids are the steam trains of the modern age, ie a force for economic expansion and exploitation of new territories, at least those of the creative mind " /> so

Hi again, umm, did I ask a stupid question or does the deafening silence mean that no one knows of a way of reimporting graphic files for Pan & Zoom? Or am I in the wrong forum (although I'm using an MC1000XL)? Help?

Hi! I have to do some changes to a 15 minute film that I cut for a client in September. I archived the video footage onto tape and kept all the graphics and photos that I'd used on a hard drive. There was no problem restoring the video footage from tape, but when I tried to batch import the photos, it imported the lores fillers butnot the images used

Hi y'all, Hope I'm on the right discussion board... I have a HD documentary to deliver early next year to several different countries. It'll be shot on 1080/25p HDCam. One broadcaster wants 1080/50i (no problem), one wants SD PAL (no problem), one wants 1080/59.94i. Problem? Because of the low cost, we'd like to online on a Media Composer Adrenaline

Hi Dave! Thanks for the reply. To answer the question whether I researched my new purchase vis a vis Avid - of course not! I bought the notebook for office work, internet, scriptwriting, photos, etc etc and thought I may as well have a go with running Xpress Pro (which I don't normally use professionally - I have a real Media Composer in the next room

I know I'll get pummelled for this but: After migrating to a new Mac (MacBook 2GHz Intel Core Duo, OSX 10.4.6), I get, like Chris, "dongle not found, use valid dongle". So I uninstalled then reinstalled software. No help. Checked in Forum, saw "Please read before posting a message about a dongle". I did, checking date/time, then came to paragraph 3

Hi Jim sorry I was sending you up the wrong path with my resolution fears. I used to use a SCSI CD-writer with Toast v4 on my v7.2 MCOffline PowerMac 9600 Mac OS8.1. According to roxio.com "SCSI: Mac OS Version: 8/9 Drive Connection: SCSI Toast 5.1 or later and Jam 5 or later should support all SCSI drives." I just checked Ebay Germany and there are

Hi Jim, sorry not to be able to give you more precise info. I can't remember whether v7.1 asks for rendering resolutions. Check out the compression tool (tools/compression) and make sure the current setting is compatible with your sequence. One thing you may want to try is to go into the media tool, select the effects in your sequence and trash them
