Hello, There isn't an upgrade to MC 5.0 dongle option at the "http://www.avid.com/US/support/upgrade-video" site; only MC 4.0. Salud!

It's not 'officially' supported, but many people have it working on their Win 7 machines (myself included). Only AMC 5 is Win 7 supported by Avid. If you don't have any pressing projects, give it a whirl, or wait for AMC 5. Also, do a search on WIN 7 within the forums; lotsa info by other users. Salud!

Hey, wow, it's been awhile and I was on XP wehn I had this issue, but here goes: The culprit was that the old serial was still in my registry (or from another Sonc product), and that's why the new serial for 6.1 wasn't working. I had to remove everything that had to do with SONIC on my computer - but most importantly, I had to delete everything

Win 7 x64 Ultimate with my xw8400 - works like a charm!
