hey, Cineform Neoscene is my choice for AVCHD. Here's my workflow: Mts to Cineform/Neoscene; link AMA with Cineform files; then "transcode" the cineform files to DnxHD; delete the Cineform filesfrom the bin; backup the cineform files on external hard drive. You can download a trial of Neoscene and test for yourself...I apologize to all

No problematic image quality if you use Cineform/Neoscene, and no color shifting if you Link AMA Cineform Files, then Transcode (not import, it seems to colorshift the files). Here is my workflow: Mts to Cineform/Neoscene; link AMA with Cineform files; then "transcode" the cineform files to DnxHD (115 for me); delete the Cineform filesfrom

Well, my workflow above casues no colorshift. I was seeing a colorshift if I "imported" my Cineform files; once I swiyched to "transcoding" method.I had no issues and the color was an exact match. Just to relay again: Mts to Cineform/Neoscene; link AMA with Cineform files; then "transcode" the cineform files to DnxHD; delete

What I use is Cineform/Neoscene for my GH1 .MTS's. The I LINK AMA to Avid; one the Cineform files are in Avid, I transcode them to DNxHD 115; delete the Cineform Files from my and work with my Transcoded file. The reason for the transcode is that AMA function really is for quick edits (in my opinion), or to check out your footage quickly, since

Hey, Either Transcode the AMA files to DNxHD, or Use Cineform to convert to 24p, link them via AMA, then transcode to DNxHD. As reporterd by other users, transcoding within MC 5 vs. importing the files is faster and more accurate (color ). I know this is a simpler explanation without a lot of technical jargon, but that's the worflow that fits for

Hey, QT refs were crashing for me until I stopped exporting QT Refs with audio. Without audio, no problem. However, I noticed I needed to de-select my audio tracks but select audio output for my Qt Refs; just check "enabled tracks" only and you still have a Qt ref without audio, I hope that makes sense? At least that was my workaround... I

Hey, You can read what was updated on 5.02 here: http://community.avid.com/forums/t/86682.aspx If you have 5.01 installed and you are having issues, then you won't find that much of a difference with 5.02. The Readme .PDF's always have a a list of fixes that you should read to see if any apply to you. I hope that helps? It's hard to judge

Hey, If you have Boris CC installed (shoud have come with your MC package) then I would use Chroma key and combine different matte chokers and a light wrap (All Boris plugins) to get a WAAAAAY better result. I've never had much luck with spectramatte. This link here will get you started with Boris Chroma Key tips: http://community.avid.com/forums

Works great (see my stats below), but faster encode time in After Afects. But, it still encodes rather quickly DEPENDING on what filter preset you are using within Looks. Salud!
