I'm using a Sony DSR-30 (with the DSR-25 deck template) over Firewire, with Xpress Pro 5.6.1 running on Windows XP. They shot on F-900s, then had a post house downconvert that to DVCAM with TC24 and 30 burn-in. We thought we should capture using Standard Pulldown, which produced 24 progressive frames, but found that the audio on the tape was out of

Hello- I'm working on a 23.976p NTSC project, and I believe I've got my footage captured correctly, but I'm running into a strange issue when I set my video display settings to High Quality. At medium or low quality, I can step through my footage and the TC24 burn-in correctly increments one frame of count for each frame of image, and I have 24 unique

Hi- Does anyone know of a way to prevent Avid from automatically mounting a connected drive? I have an external Mac-formatted HD that I'm running on my Windows XP box with MacDrive 6.1.5, and when Avid starts (or if I connect the drive while already inside Avid), I get an "ERROR_OTHER" message. If I then manually unmount the drive within Avid, everything

I don't know what's going on with it, but I'm having the same issue. It refuses to launch, and I had to reinstall Filmscribe 21.8 (from 4.8.1) to get it to work again. Thanks

It's a film project, and although I didn't create the project I did double-check that all of the film settings are 35mm/4-perf Thanks, Evan

I'm working on a 24p PAL project, on Adrenaline HD 2.1.6, and I can't get either the Timecode window or the two rows of information at the top of the Composer to show me the Feet and Frames count for my sequence. I can make a cut list and it shows up there, or I can view FF in the locator list, but when I go to Sequence -> Footage -> 35.4, I get

Thanks, don't know why I didn't think of that. It seems like there should still be a ctrl-overwrite or alt-overwrite way to replace footage while keeping effects, keyframes, etc. intact, but maybe that should go as a feature request instead.

I could put the effects over filler cut to each shot's length on a video track higher up, and then change the footage on video tracks beneath it to my heart's content, but that seems like more effort than should be necesesary. What I have now is a clip on V1, let's say. I then Color Correct that clip, so now I have a color corrected clip on V1. The

It's true that if you're not planning on sharing files between the Adrenalines themselves, or between the Adrenalines and a central file server, you don't really need an ethernet connection. But even in those situations, I've found there are always times when I needed to be on the LAN. And rather than dealing with Group Policies, which have to be pushed

Does anyone know if it's possible to replace the footage underneath an effect, a Color Correction, for example, while maintaining that effect? I'm working in a sequence with a bunch of visual effects shots, many of which have had Color Corrections applied to them after they've been cut in. As I get new versions of the vfx I need to cut them in and replace
