Jason, on behalf of my entire family thanks. The funeral will be this coming Friday at 12:30 at King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church Va as a grave side service. Please pass this on to others. Larry always told me that he was so proud to support this forum. We will certainly miss him. Steve Rubin

And to refer to the version matrix .

Mike is correct. You must upgrade your OS to Windows 7 Professional 64 to run MC 6, which is the first MC version that is entirely 64 bit based. It will not run on Windows XP.

It seems to me that you took a very convoluted route. If you want to move content from one project to another, the best way is to copy the related .avb bins from one project to another.

Create a bin named "Quick Transitions". Create any type of transitional effect you want and drag it to that bin. From that point on, when you launch the quick transitions window, those effects will be listed in the quick transitions pulldown menu.

In addition to Carl's recommendations, be sure you are following the Avid Media Folder Management Ground Rules: 1) The "Avid MediaFiles" folder (for MXF media) and the "OMFI MediaFiles" folder (for OMF media if you have any) MUST reside at the root level of the media drive, not inside any other folders or the system will not
Now I feel really low.
Don't worry about it, Ben. Of all the art forms in existence, comedy, whether direct or implied, is the trickiest one of all. You never know what's really funny until it plays to a live audience. Ask any SNL veteran about that, and they'll most likely give you the same reply.

OK, well if the camera does output in 1080p, you should be able to create a 1080p project, AMA link to those RAW files targeting the camera's root folder, and then transcode after the AMA bins are populated. Are you not able to do that?
Remember, after the writers, directors, producers, talent, network, sponsors, etc. do their jobs, it's ultimately our responsibility to say, "that's not funny,"
Milton Berle said it best: "Dying is easy...comedy is hard."
