Re Download it John.
P.S. The screenshot is from my installation folder of MC and there is the new version in nVidia folder.

Sure, I know how to obtain the file directly, I was just pointing out that the specific Avid utilities folder had an old version of the driver.
Using MC 23.12. Win 22H2 Avid FX6.4, Vegas Pro 22/ DVD Architect 6pro, DVDit6.4proHD, CCE Basic, TmpGe Express4, TmpGe Authoring Works 4, DVDLab-Studio. Sony EX-1R, Canon XH-A1, GL2, GL1, Canon EOS 60D
Another EXCELLENT move from AVID.
Avid has partnered with iZotope to give Pro Tools and Media Composer customers with an active plan,
RX Elements as a gift.
Elements are of very high value and importance in audio noise reduction.
Thank you once more.
I want to point out that for your conversion needs TMPGEnc Authoring Works 6 can output H264/H265
as 422 or even 444 with up to 10bit and also Intra output.
Something I was banging my head about and it was literally under my nose.
You just have to set the profile to it.
So awesome that your Intra Media Composer Exports can be paired with it.
Handbrake can do it but it doesn't recognize DNxHR files.
Adobe Media Encoder can not do it either.
P.S. In this case you have to use x264 encoder which is a bit slow but it will be up to Intra 444 10bit...
I haven't test it yet if it's supports NVENC by my desktop's P2000 but I doubt it.
I want to verify that Dual Copy engine works on Quadro P2000.
Also a tip to speed up MC is to lower the Video Memory on Media Cache but to give a big number on Thumbnails and Source browser.
Having the cache for everything on an SSD will also greatly improve MC's behavior.
Another tip:
RAID 0 2 SSD (1TB each, I currently run 2x480 for test purposes) they are cheap now.
Take all the precautions as to backup projects (I am usig MDV for 10 years as RAID 0 by plain SATA disks).
Get impressed with blazing speeds even for DNxHD Uncompressed 4:2:2 10 bit.
I see this on my 8 years old PC. I imagine what will look like on a new PC.
P.S. Do not defrag an SSD RAID 0 setup Intel doesn't support TRIM for that setup.
An example of showing that GPU is actually working on MC even on some exports.
Here is an AMA Export by Avid Media Processor as AVC-100 Intra.
Everything is unrendered.
A 10' timeline with 5 layers (the 4 of them are having an effect as a filler at whole duration) takes 38' on my old PC.
Not bad though.
Error: Range specified for Dup is outside range of component.
That was happening because of a Mercalli plugin.
The effect couldn't be removed from the clip(s) giving the same error.
Solution:
Go to the start of the clip(s) and match frame it (them).
Replace the clip.
Hi George - What version of Mercalli caused the issue?

Never do this with Mercalli:
After using the effect and stabilizing a clip, never edit and re run the Mercalli effect.
Always delete the effect and re apply it after making any change to an already stabilized clip.
This is true for this version.
Thanks. So sad that ProDad isn't really supporting MC these days. There was a time when Mercalli and their other tools were my go to for transitions and titles.
I have a theory that most people using Media Composer (including me) are doing films,
trailers and in general editing more serious pieces that are not requiring many cheesy effects etc.
So this is why many effect companies are more to Premiere or anything else used more in weddings etc.
where those effects are more needed. Not good or bad here just different ways.
But the last years Avid made that move of reaching out to more people.
Creating HDR HLG content using Avid Media Composer 2018.12.
Footage by Panasonic GH5 using the HLG profile.
2019.6 is the greatest version ever.
It's even faster than the beta versions. On my i7 2600K ! ©4.4(and ssd raid 0) I can RT at 10 bit DNxHD 185X 2-3 Transcoded streams with CC UNRENDERED. Not always but if you know about specs you understand.
I would love to know what it can do with a newer CPU (mine is 8 years old even if it's holding).
Hands down this is a marvelous NLE.
TIP: Crucial MX500 on a RAID 0 are cheap and blazing fast.
