Most people create overlap cuts (split edits) in a two-step process, making a straight cut first and then overlapping it by trimming one element. But there’s a hidden, one-step way to do it that you may not know about. It only works at the end of your sequence, but that makes it appropriate when you’re creating a first assembly and adding to the end of a growing timeline. Very cool. I'm using MC 7. The one step pre lap won't work for me.
Just tried it here on a PC with 7.0.3 and it does not work for me. Did wonder if Sync locks might make a difference (I never use them) but same result with or without them.
