    Batch Export sequences whilst away

    Hello All,

I just switched recently from FCP to MC3.5(software only on the mac),

In FCP there's the option of batch exporting the sequences, however I cant find that option in AVID. I read on this forum that if you just highlight all the sequences in a bin and export them it should work, but I came back this morning with only one export and a dialogue box asking me to name my next sequence.

    *sigh*

Is there any way of doing a batch export without having to be there to rename the next sequence in line?

    Totally lost.

Have just batch exported 25 sequences this morning so it certainly can be done.

The only time I've had that prompt in the middle of a batch export is when two sequences have the same name, or rather would have the same name once truncated to (from memory) 32 ? characters.

So if you have long sequence names you may need to shorten the names.

Also if you set up a "Send Too.." template rather than just an export there is an option to have similarly named 32 character output files be sequentially numbered or just overwritten.
