Hello.
I inherited an AVID ISIS 5500, and a SYNOLOGY RX2414+ NAS. I'm trying to understand how these two units work together.
I have been able to mount volumes from the NAS, using a Mac Pro - but only because the server information was saved.
I have not had the same luck with the AVID ISIS.
I know that the previous owner used the same Mac Pro to access the ISIS, but I get an error when attempting to access its IP - "System Director Not Running".
I connect to the ISIS unit to start System Director, but it fails after three attempts at looking for an active license USB dongle.
I am seeking suggestions on how to mount volumes from the ISIS 5500.
Thank you!
Hi,
If your Isis does not have a license, either dongle or software license, the system director won't start and you can't connect.
So what kind of license do you have?

Launch: Start > Programs > Avid ISIS System Director > System Director Viewer.
What does it say there?
Launch Avid License control. What does it say?
