I want to follow this workflow:
https://www.premiumbeat.com/blog/create-ingest-proxies-avid-using-davinci-resolve/
The following step worked when I was using local sforage.
10. Ingest the Proxies into AVID
With AVID closed, add the newly created proxies to the Avid MediaFiles > MXF > 1 folder.
--------
But I am now working on a Nexis and this folder doesn't exist I can create it but avid doesn't automatically generate a database file inside it like it did before. Does anyone here know how to mimic this workflow on Nexis?
Thanks
When working on Nexis shared storage, Media Composer creates folders inside /Avid MediaFiles/MXF/ that are named after the computer you're working on. This prevents confilcts with other computers accessing that same Nexis workspace and creating their own media folders.
For example, if your computer is named "edit1", Media Composer will create MXF directories called edit1.1, edit1.2, edit1.3, and so on as necessary.
Rather than guess how MC will name your folders, just have it create one for you. Import a small jpeg or png file and make sure your Media Creation settings have it pointed at the Nexis workspace. You'll see a new folder appear named according to the convention described above, and you can simply add new OP-Atom MXF media files into it, or even create a new folder with the next sequential number if you prefer.
Hope this helps.

Thanks I'll try that. Is there any downside to generating the MXFs from Davinci instead of Avid? Will it effect the relink back to the originals?
Lots of people use Resolve trouble free.
Personally I prefer to use Avid but mainly because I like the background transcoding.
