Hello all -
Our ISIS is giving us a warning that our power supply unit is faulty or has failed, but when I check out the back of the ISIS, both of the power supply units have the green light. No indicator of the faulty one at all.
I have a spare power supply unit, but I have no idea which PSU to pull from the back.
How should I go about doing this?
My thoughts so far are to stop the system director, backup the file system, then just pull one and match up the serial number with the faulty one listed in the management console.
Any thoughts appreciated!
Hi,
If you login into https://<ip of your isis>:5015/ on the first page, system, at the bottom you see the status of both PSU's
Power supply 1 should be the upper one, 2 the lower... but I haven't checked this recently.

I feel like that information should be listed but I do not see it in the system information...unless I'm just overlooking something? In the management console, under Logging-->System Information it gives a more detailed account but I still didn't see anything about the power supply.
I found it Jeroen - logging into the storage manager showed the information for power supply. That's why I couldn't see it in the management console. Thank you!
And if you want, you can also access the IPMI interface through the middle bottom port on IP 10.1.1.20 but you might need to confirm that by going into the bios.
the IPMI web page will tell you in more detail what is wring and with which PSU.
