I have been using Avid for many years and although we all agree the original title tool is quite limited, like many editors I have become adept at getting the best out of it.

I have been holding off updating to MC 2020 and Catalina because (I believe) I will finally lose the old title tool?

I have tried several experiments in MC 2019 promoting legacy tiles to Titler Plus but when I do I lose all the complex keyframe moves and resizes as well as all the title formatting. - Basically it just keeps the text but that is all. Is this correct?

if I open an old project in MC 2020 and want to rework complex title sequences, rather than simply promoting them would I have to go back in and redo every title from scratch?

It would be so good if AVID would take this big issue seriously.

Why is there not an opportunity to promote old titles?

I have to go back to my clients and ask them what font I was using and then do all the titles fro scratch again.

That is SO embarrassing for me as a pro editor!

How can AVID not think of this? EVERY project I have done in the past using Title Tool I can not update a single title again!?

I have clients that continues to have changes made to old projects but this is not possible due to AVID not caring!
