Can it be done?
I have Pro Tools 12 and First co-install on my machine, it's running both. However, I don't have 3rd party audio plugins.
Thanks,
RalphC
The co install (MC 8.8.x and PT 12.7HD) works here on a Mac Pro (10.10.5). As MC | First is basically the same code as MC, for me it follows that with co-installs MC | First should be installed before Pro Tools. (or uninstall Pro Tools before installing MC | First and then re-install PT's)

The MC | First application automatically installs a set of core plug-ins.
When you purchase additional plug-ins, like from the marketplace, the third-party vendor provides instructions on how to load the plug-ins.
Note: To see which plug-ins are installed on your system, click the Info button in the Project Window.
Some third party plug-ins are not included and installed with your Avid editing software. Users must download and install them separately. This enables Avid and third-party camera manufacturers to update plug-ins outside of a software release.
Have you spoken to any of the plug in vendors to see if they have tried their software with MC | First?
