Some strange behaviour in MC where media that I had linked to and then consolidated or transcoded is once again showing up as linked. Actually all my media for this sequence was showing as consolidated or transcoded and then things changed where certain clips (even ones showing as DNxHD) are now showing as AMA linked. I can't seem to change things even after consolidating these clips again (and linking to the new clips).

Why would a local consolidated clip show as a linked clip in a bin? Any advice?

As a first step with MC closed I would try opening ALL of your "Number" named folders inside all of your media drives Avid MediaFiles\MXF\ folders and deletinng both the msmFMID.pmr and msmMMOB.mdb files.  

Then open MC. It will take longer than usual while MC reindexes all of your media folders.
With a  little luck this 25 year old (and most reliable)  MC "Fix all" will solve your issue.

If not I would select one of the DNxHD clips that shows as Linked and use the Reveal File option so you can establish where Avid thinks it is finding the clips media.
