Hi, not sure if this has been posted - but now we have shiny new 4K project settings MC8 is there a way to export a 4K file?

DPX for now. Avid is most likely working on DNxHR support via QT reference and “same as source” for an upcoming release. Once third parties get DNxHR support, it will also open up other solutions.

I read some folks have managed exporting to ProRes 4K using the Miraizon codec.

    Re: 4K EXPORT?

I did a short test a few weeks ago and transcoded a 4K XAVC sequence to DnXHR and exported it as same as source. I then imported the file to Sorenson and made an HEVC encode which played back fine on VLC. Not sure if it's supposed to work, but it did, and looked fine. I did have to drop the data rate on Sorenson from 18,000 to about 10,000 or it wouldn't encode.
