Importing AAFs without creating new files in the bin.

I have a problem when it comes to importing AAFs with linked media. I am exporting AAFs of a sequence out for syncing with Plural Eyes, and sometimes when I import the synced AAF back in to Avid, I end up with new files in the bin that the new sequence is linked to, instead of the original clips.

This does not happen every time, and I'm wondering why that is.

    Attached a screenshot for clearification

As you can see here, I imported two AAFs, one linked to the original files, one created new files in the bin I imported it into. How do I make sure it links to the original files every time?

As long as you are using PluralEyes aaf in/Media Composer out protocols you ARE linking back to the original files.  The "new" files in the bin are also linked to the original media.  You can delete the "new" ones -- CLIPS ONLY, NOT MEDIA.  (but try a short one first in case you actually generated new media somehow.)
