MC 7.0.2:

The difference now betwen Lassoing and Mark IN and OUt selection of Audio Keyframes is that no Audio Tracks have to be enabled when one is Lassoing Audio Keyframes.

When Mark In and Out -  only the enabled Audio Tracks are affected when manipulating the selected Keyframes.

Please tell me how you got this to work again?

I'm deperate to get it to work the way it used to on my MC 7.0.3

What I mean is, how to get it so when you select one keyframe the keyframe underneath it selects as well instead of lasso'ing the one below or selecting it with my mouse everytime, just to get two audio tracks from a stereo music song, or audio tracks from the same video clip, to move together.

Yup... this has STILL not been restored/fixed.  I'm dying to upgrade to Avid 7 so I don't have to sit around twiddling my thumbs to watch waveforms redraw (yes - it's THAT big a deal for me) but until they restore the functioanlity you describe I'm sticking with 6.0x.  I guess on this one the Avid code wranglers are in FCP X mode - just drop old functionality - the user base will eventually return to the fold.  ...  or migraite to Adobe.  Da-Ba-Bummm (inserting poorly composed mystery music sting here)

Come on Avid - get this sorted, it drives me insane every day.  New ideas are always good but be carefull about what you change.  Change for the sake of change isn't necessarily a good thing, and I don't recall ever reading any posts where users complained about how audio keyframes worked prior to the change.

It's all become too fiddly, trying to shift click to select multiple keyframes is a nightmare - the hot spot for selecting them seems to have gotten a lot smaller. And if you've got clip gain turned on at the same time it's even worse!!  Mixing a music track is just downright painfull.  The old way of having the two audio tracks on and adding a keyframe and instantly adjusting the level was so quick, or a quick alt click and drag to move the keyframes horizontally... not any more...

I've been banging the drum with everyone else about this since MC7 was released.  Seemingly to no avail.

I've already switched to premiere cc for much of my work.  Adobe have made huge strides while Avid just seem to paddle backwards.

They don't seem to understand that's it's little things like this that can drive users nuts.

Yeah, are we talking about selecting a keyframe and then all the other keyframes on the connected tracks highlighting and moving as well?

Also do you know when you turn to show the gain on in MC7 and you get these cool little volume controls, I thought they were the new volume at first so now you can imagine how doubley disapointed I am.

Is there a way to make the two gains go up and down in unison? In which case somone could just move one of those cool volume bars to do the volume for the whole track and it's connected track? Or would using gain to control volume not be recommended?

Weirdly I know an editor who uses MC7 and he said his keyframes work fine, when he selects one the connected one highlights and moves as well (maybe he's only using stereo tracks?).

Unfortuntely I work in TV and have to use Avid as in the UK it dominates every editing project and post house for UK TV.

yup. it's a travesty! I can understand if something like that functionality was removed to MAKE IT BETTER, but in this case it was just removed for no apparent reason. Having to select multiple tracks' keyframes by marking and in and out is a pain...but one that i'm slowly growing used to...not liking it, just dealing with it. massive fail on Avid's part.

Yes, count me in, Pain in the neck, I have been using Adobe since. and now they want 299 for support plan, what a joke.

Since this thread began I too now have become firmly embedded in the Adobe Cloud.

I had been an Avid advocate and user for years but time after time they fall short when it comes to listening to users needs.

The problems with the group audio keyframe feature is a prime example. 

They are just too slow to react to changes in the industry and the big advances made by their competitors, particularly Adobe in the form of Premiere.

I still use MC for specific long form projects, where it does still have the edge on Premiere, particularly when it comes to trimming and, of course, media management - but the gap is narrowing.

Added to which the new subscription price of 49.99 a month is a joke.
