getting back after 2 yrs, some questions

Hi all its been a few yrs. Im getting back to editing and just wanted to make sure on somethings. I have MC 5.0. Is 5.5.3 the latest patch I need to download or is there a upgrade cost I need to go to 5.5? If so Im sure it would be better to go to 6. Like I said I am just getting back to things and geez I feel like I am a newbie.

Also I was looking at the canon xa10, any thoughts on this camera with MC? Any cameras in this range that someone can recommend to me.

    Thanks

    Welcome back.

Going from v5 to v5.5 was a paid upgrade.  Going up to v6 would also be a paid upgrade, but because it is a 64-bit app it may require more of and investment on your part hardware-wise.

You could buy the upgrade to v6 and then just install v5.5 if you didn't want to make the jump with your equipment right now.

Hi thanks Kenton, I plan on upgrading my hardware so thats fine but it delays my ability to upgrade software too so later this yr on MC 6. I take it that 5.04 be my available update right?

There's a 5.0.4.3 patch available.  If you're looking at the list of updates in the Download Center, scroll up to the top of the page and there's a link for patches.  You can find 5.0.4.3 there.
