I downloaded the 30-day trial last night, got my project set up and when I came in this morning and started working, a window popped up and said "This Trial Has Expired". I've tried calling AVID at least 12 times and get no response.
What should I do?
I can't just buy it because my boss wants to try it out first. So far it's making a pretty bad first impression
There has never been any other AVID software installed on this system.
I sent you an email that should get you fixed up.
In agreement, Unity. In Disagreement, Discussion. In all things, Charity.
What version do you have installed? This was a bug in v5.0.1, and could be what's going on. We quickly pulled the version from our site due to the issue. Here's a link to download v5.0.3 - > http://www.avid.com/US/support/downloads/files/mcsoftcpr/win503 which is the latest version and has the fix. Other possible cause is if the system clock was for some reason advanced beyond 30 days.

Thanks. That seems to be working. Will that fix it permanently or will I keep having to start up a new project?
BTW, I installed v5.0.3 from the AVID site last night, so it's the version with the updates.
Thanks for you help and quick response, guys!
Greg:Also, go to the patch center and download and install the 5.0.3.1 patch, or the 5.0.3.2 patch if you are NOT running any additional I/O hardware, like Mojo, Adrenaline or Nitris.

I have a similar problem. I downloaded the 30 day trial and have been utilizing it for two weeks. This morning when I went to log on through the window -- asking if I wanted to continue with the trial -- it indicated that I still had 15 days available. However, after I clicked yes and the program got started, it then said my trial had expired, and I had to close it down. Any help?
I sent you an email with the information they sent me yesterday. It seems to have fixed the problem.
I'm having the same problem. Any way you could forward that information for me as well?
Cheers!

Me as well! Just happened.
I am having the same problems, the patches recommended in this thread havent fixed the problem, could someone forward the email to me? [email protected]
Thanks in advance!
I have the same issue, could someone be so kind and forward to [email protected]?
I noticed it will only occur with old projects, but not with new projects that I create, should the trial work with all, or does have these limitations?
Thanks!

kta: I noticed it will only occur with old projects, but not with new projects that I create, should the trial work with all, or does have these limitations?
You are quite correct, the trial works this way, it is only possible to work with new projects.
I have no idea how the trial handles new projects with imported bins from old projects however
Tomas
Kta:Create a new project in MC 5 and copy the .avb bin files from your old project into the new one. DO NOT open the original project directly in MC 5.
I am having the same issue! Can someone forward me the link as well!!
thx!
