    twin screen resolution?

At the moment I have a single 22" wide screen set to 1680X1050, and am changing my graphics card to an Quadro FX 1800.

I am thinking of adding a second 22" screen, what resolution should they both be set to ? I suppose I am limited by the max limit on the existing screen (1680x1050).

I film on DV, and just adding AVCHD

1680x1050 if this is the maximum resolution supported from your monitors.

I am working with 22'' x 2 HP monitors set to this resolution.

The official Avid recommended screen resolution is 1280 x 1024. Run both screens at the same resolution.

    Larry Rubin:

The official Avid recommended screen resolution is 1280 x 1024. Run both screens at the same resolution.

But that is a 4x3 screen resolution. I agree that Avid looks best in 19" 4x3 at 1280x1024, but the 22" 16x9 at 1680x1050 is basically a slightly wider version, with the same pixel pitch. With 24" screens at 1920x1200, the pixel pitch is smaller, so everything on screen is tinier.

I'll do some research and see if there's an officially recommended HD screen rez.

Just a note: 2x 19" @1280x1024 is more or less equal in pixel size as 2x 22" @1680x1050.

    That's why I chose 2x 22".
