Not wanting to hijack this thread, but could you clarify please. All those AMAlogger files need to be left alone (i.e. not deleted) or else I'll lose the connections to my AMA media, right?
What will happen if I did delete them all? Would they be recreated when I open the bin my AMA media is in?
Just that on the Mac (don't know about PC) they are in a really annoying place! Right at the top level of the users home folder! As a suggestion, why couldn't Avid create a folder called "AMA logs" and stick them all in there, where they don't fill up the screen every time I go to my home folder.
Where do they get put on a Windows system?
cheers
Campbell
in Windows they are nicely hidden in a 5th subfolder, which is OK, they dont get in your way and you can always link if you want. (if you look for the exact address: Bob described it in this thread before: "AMALogger files that are located in the temp directory on Windows or the Home Directory on the Mac. The Temp directory location is listed in the General Settings."he means in the MC settings: general)
much nicer. maybe Avid can change the Mac version to put the files in their own folder.
