Locked P2 card content and the mac

I need a bit of help here.  I am running Avid Media Composer 4.0.2 on 2 X 2.66 dual core Intel Xeon.  We also have a LANShare.  The OS for the mac is Leopard. When I connect the Panasonic HVX200 to the system through USB, all the files on the card are locked.  This is not allowing for a smooth copying into our LANShare.  The copying stops and gives a permission message, but leaving some files in the LANShare that are hard to delete.  Any advice? Thanks!

usually don't send someone off-forum for advice, but here's some P2 love from none other than Barry Green himself...

If you're left with locked files, btw, you can run a command similar to this in Terminal (just change the path to point to where your locked files are):

    chflags -R nouchg /Volumes/P2_Cards/Card1

I wouldn't recommend running this on the card itself, of course, but it's a handy command if you have local directories of locked files you need to move/delete.
