Hi,

This is very odd, I have a user when she is in segment mode and grabs a clip to move it disappears until she releases the mouse click. New user settings did not fix, deleing MC state did not fix, deleting the computer name reference in the project did not help. Reinstalling the software did not help, rebooting the computer did not help.

I opened a new project and copied the bins from the old project and that worked but when I went back to the old project, it seemed like it was working as expected again. But it also seems like it could stop working randomly again.

Has this behavior been seen before? Would you have any advice on what could be tried next?

Can you provide complete system specs, Media Composer version, and project details; such as resolution, fps, media codecs, ama vs native media?

Appolgies, it is 2022.7 upgraded to 2022.12.7 on a HPZ440/64GB RAM.  This is the only computer it is happening on and there are a few computers on the job. 

1920x1080@DNx36 23.976fps on a NEXIS workspace.  No AMA used.

What video card is in the workstation and which version of video drivers? Do the other workstations have the same card and same drivers?

The non-affected computer has an AJA Lhi card with 16.1.0 drivers and does not show any of the issue.  

There is no video card in the affected computer but Black magic 12.5.1 and AJA 16.1. drivers were on it.  I uninstalled them and that seemed to fix the issue.  But now the editor is complaining about stuttering playback in multicam mode which makes no sense! The problem is intermittant, and shows no rhyme or reason to whay may cause it.

When I say video card I'm not talking about an I/O interface. I am literally talking about the computer's GPU. You could have an nVidia, an AMD, or an Intel; each brand has many different models and many different driver versions.

Ie: Is it an nVidia Quadro K5600 or an AMD Radeon 5400 or an Intel IRIS 655?

Sorry, get you now.  It is a nVidia K2200.
