    Modify master clips improvement...

Every time you need to give an off-speed clip a Tape name you are told: "The clips could not be modified. Only master clips in the projects rate can be modified when using set source.".

Can we just do it in the project we are in please? I don't want to make new projects literally just to give a clip a tape name.

    Thanks,

    Andi

Unless your assets are actually coming from tape you shoud be using Disk Label instead of Tape Name. And I believe you can set the Disk Label for clips with unmatched frame rates.

I agree, I use disk label and tape ID as well. There is a bug that has existed for all of time whereby a clip without a tape name will not allow you to change the timecode values. Once a tape name is applied you can change it. Part of my workflow involves adjusting start tc on lots of clips so i need to add tape names to these clips in order for the adjustment to stick. When a clip is off-speed I need to make new projects. Hence my request.
