    Why hasn’t Avid done this?

Please for the life of me help me understand this. Automation plays a gigantic role in processing of music especially on a product like Protools. Avid has been the industry leader in DAWs etc. how come they don't offer the option to invert the automation of a selected track? For instance, I've used vocal rider to draw animation that follows the exact peaks of my waveform. I find this makes parallel compression SUPER easy. With one caveat, there's no way to invert already drawn animation. If I'm wrong correct me, but why hasn't avid integrated this function? Also let's discuss other features we wished they had so maybe they'll add them.
