How to update Mac OS to 14.1 not most current 14.2

    Hi everyone,

I'm running Avid Media Composer on an M1-based Mac Studio.  I'd like to upgrate to Ventura, but I see from the Avid Documentation and Version Matrix that 14.1 is the most recent version of Mac OS that Avid supports, whereas the most current Mac OS is 14.2.1.  If I simply update via the Software Update in System Settings, I am pretty certain that 14.2.1 is what I will get, with no option to modify that.

I've learned the hard way to follow Avid's guidance on the most recent operation system to install - but Apple is not making it simple for me to install a version of Sonoma other than the most recent, 14.2.1.

Does anyone have a workaround to get Sonoma 14.1 onto my computer?

    Thanks so much!

    Joe

This pages has collated the links to Apple's download server

You can pick 14.1.2 from there - but from experience, beta testing MC 2024 and 2023.12 work fine on 14.4 and 14.3
