    Full Screen Playback Workspace

    Hey Everyone,

is it possibel to create a workspace where full screen playback is active all times ?

I've tried to make one and of course the full screen mode doesnt stick for my 3rd monitor and everytime I go to trim or effects mode I have to select fullscreen playback to see it again.

    Any feedback is apprecieted.

    Thanks.

    Re: Full Screen Playback Workspace

    Pretty sure you can't.

The best you could do is have your source and record monitors (or even just your record monitor) arranged to be in the 3rd monitor as large as possible.

Why not just get the Blackmagic Ultrastudio Monitor 3G? Assuming you have Thunderbolt (and all modern Macs do), it will only set you back about $100+ and give you exactly what you want.

HP Z800, HP G9 Fury, SonnetFusion RAID, Mojo DX, Decklink 4K, Ultrastudio 3G, Symphony 2018 & 2022, Boland BVB25 OLED, JVC DTV1910 HD CRT, Eizo ColorEdge... [view my complete system specs]

    Re: Full Screen Playback Workspace

I have the same question as the OP; for me the issue is that I am remoting into an Avid via Jump Desk and so an external I/O at home doesn't solve the problem. I use the virtual monitor setup on Jump to have three screens at home, but same result, anythime I go into trim or effects or CC mode it needs to be reset.

It would be great if you could have the third monitor remain active as full screen.

    Re: Full Screen Playback Workspace

Yes same as the other response - Im jumping into a system and want to stay in full screen mode all the time on the 3rd monitor.

There used to be a fullscreen workspace but that has gone away, I tried making a new workspace with fullscreen preset but of course the fullscreen still doesnt stick...

I cant stand the new version and try to only use Ver 2018, I wonder if the new Classic Mode has the old fullscreen workspace ?

    Re: Full Screen Playback Workspace

I don't know if it helps, but I used to have the full screen button mapped to one mouse key. That was an instant and easy way of going full screen.
