Just updated the Nvidia card..how to check if it helps?

Moved from an Nvidia 1070ti with 8g ram to an RTX3060 with 12g ram......they use the same driver, which is not the approved driver AVID lists....Everything works but I would like to see if the GPU is sharing load, etc.

How is it possible to see if MC is using the new card correctly?  The RTX3060 is listed as approved on the AVID configuration document.

If you open the Avid Console immediately after you open a project, the GPU should be detected and listed.

Just remember that Avid MC is not very reliant on the GPU with some exceptions. It is mostly a CPU bound application.

THank you for that information....this is what Console shows when opening a new project:

Set persistent image cache limit: 1000.0 MB in D:/AVID MEDIA CACHE

Nothing there about a GPU...is something wrong?

3060 works just fine with MC.

I have 3060 6G at laptop and 12G on desktop.

    Both working like a charm.

Remember MC doesn't use that much of the card and in some cases this is good.

Check the process manger to see where and how MC uses the card.

change after the new intel I9 cpu was put into service...what does this 2.**** number mean?  Is a bigger number better?  anyway...MC does seem to be happy with the RTX3060
