so I may be late to this information, but I recently bought the logitech G604 and it has horizontal scrolling that can be used on the timeline. Its a 15 button assignable mouse that I am about to customize. But the horizontal scrolling is already programmed in the mouse. Just thought I would let everyone know, for those who like me are using a gaming mouse for the 1st time.

It'd be nice if there was a timeline setting to convert vertical scrolling to horizontal scrolling, for people without gaming mice

It was $49 u.s. dollars. Better off buying one then waiting for Avid to implement something like that. I doubt its on their to do list.  But I could be wrong lol

I still wish you could move through the timeline like you could in DS. Hold down space and "whoosh" through, similar to how you pan around a canvas in Photoshop. Much nicer to be able to "grab" the timeline and move it.
