Re: Zoom while editing using iMac - Audio solution?

    James,

As I said before -- although I called it a Webcaster -- I've used the BM Web Presenter for numerous all-day sessions, with audio/video coming straight from the AVID OUTPUT, so it's high-quality and has minimal lag. You don't need a seperate computer.

Are you still trying to sort this out?

Jason is right. We did quite complex 'over-the-shoulder' collaborative editing with the Web presenter. Sometimes it was easier just to jump on your phone, with the speaker on and just have the Avid on Zoom. Either way it's easy to work as though you were together in the same room that way, not that I would want to, it would be horrifying to me. On Teradici/Z Central et al, I always persuade producers to let me get on on my own, while they are working on the next sequences, much quicker that way and preferable to them breathing down your neck all the time. Before lockdown when we were all in the same edit suites, half the time they just sat there while you're fiddling. They send me paper edits/guide comm recorded on their phones and I send them playouts of each cut, then while they are working through that I can be getting on with the next thing.

    Hi,

Software solutions are okay, but hardware IMO is better.

    Have a look into this

    https://www.rcblogic.co.uk/product/blackmagic-web-presenter-hd?st=05&source=paidclick&dt=131222&gclid=CjwKCAiAheacBhB8EiwAItVO2zu5hoU63BA7o9Jsu5Wi72xCH-BAnLWTN0wI8DJN9VFloSVZawxEsRoCTSoQAvD_BwE

It can turn an SDI video stream into a webcam USB stream which you can connect to zoom
